We strive to be our customers’ preferred partner to increase safety, efficiency and readiness for action so that our customers can get their best performance.

Space flights

Astronauts take part in long-term missions on the International Space Station, carry out experiments in microgravity and operate the station’s systems. They assemble, activate and test new station elements, conduct scientific research, carry out spacecraft missions and act as test subjects in life science experiments.

The role of astronauts is constantly evolving. In the future, they will need to be prepared to move further away from Earth as IKON will take part in astronautical and robotic missions to the moon and space agencies work together to establish a sustainable lunar presence and travel to Mars.

The professional paths of the deployed astronauts do not end after one or more space flights, but most of them bring their experience to responsible positions in organizations, science or industry. And some of them will train the next generation of astronauts at the astronaut training center.
