This data protection declaration applies to the collection and use of personal data when using the website at https: //www.ikon.aero (hereinafter referred to as the website ).    

For those via our website or https://intranet.ikon.aero/ accessible, login-protected employee area, separate data protection notices apply. These are brought to the attention of the authorized users of the employee area separately.

We attach great importance to the protection of your personal data and your privacy. We are subject to the statutory data protection regulations, in particular the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act of Switzerland (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG). According to this, we are particularly entitled to collect and use personal data as this is necessary to enable you to use our website, including all the services and functions contained therein.  

Below you will find information about which personal data is collected when you visit our website and when you use the services and functions it contains, and how we use it for what purposes. You can also request information about the data stored about you by post from us.

Visit our website

Visiting our website is basically possible without further information about yourself.

However, every time a website is accessed, information is inevitably collected and exchanged. In particular, your IP address is recorded for the duration of your visit to our website, as this is necessary for you to use our website. In this respect, the relevant information is not stored beyond the end of the visit.

As soon as you visit our website, however, we also automatically save certain usage information in our server log files. In particular, is your IP address. We use  it to identify and correct errors and to track illegal access to our website (e.g. by hackers).

Analysis services

We use the open source web analysis service Piwik on our website. Piwik uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and that enable your use of the website to be analyzed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is saved by us. We use this information to evaluate the use of this website. Your IP address will be anonymized immediately so that we cannot assign the information generated by the cookie to you as a user. This information will also not be merged with any personal data we may have about you. Information generated by the cookie will not be passed on to third parties.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; we would like to point out, however, that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. Instructions on how to accept, reject, view and delete cookies can be found in the help function of your browser software.

You can object to the collection and analysis of the data from your website visit at any time with a click of the mouse. In the event of such an objection, a so-called “opt-out cookie” will be stored on your computer. As long as this is stored on your computer, Piwik will not collect any session data from you.

Contradiction:

Please note that after deleting the “opt-out cookie” on your computer, you will have to object again. This can be the case after deleting all temporary Internet files or all “cookies” via your browser software. 

Contact forms

On our website we provide you with forms that you can use to contact us. We collect and use the information you voluntarily provide or transmit (e.g. name, address, telephone number, fax number, email address and application documents) to process and answer your request.

Search functions and other database queries

On our website, you can use a search function and, if necessary, other database queries to display specific information (e.g. current vacancies). The information you voluntarily enter into the relevant search or query form is collected and used to show you the information you require.

Applicant portal

You have the option of going to our website or https://jobs.ICON.aero accessible applicant portal voluntarily to create a personal user account to apply for the job offers published there. An application is of course also possible without creating a user account.  

In order to create the account, it is necessary to provide certain minimum information (language of correspondence, salutation, name, telephone number and email address). Without providing this information, you cannot create a user account.

In addition, you have the option of voluntarily saving further information in your user account (further personal data, details and documents about your school, university and professional training, professional experience and professional knowledge and skills).

With the data stored in your user account, you can voluntarily apply for the vacancies published in our applicant portal. You can view the status of your applications at any time via the applicant portal.

You also have the option of having job offers that are of interest to you sent to you immediately after they have been published in our applicant portal or periodically by email by activating the “job agent” function.

We use the information collected from you as described above only to the extent and as long as this is necessary for your use of the applicant portal and your job applications.

Transmission of personal data

Information that we collect and use in connection with your use of this website may also be processed by other IKON institutes , but only to the extent that this is necessary for the purposes stated in this data protection declaration.

Likewise, processing in states outside the scope of Directive 95/46 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of October 24, 1995 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of data (OJ EC No. L 281 p . 31); for example because certain offers are held on servers located there.

If and to the extent that such data is passed on, we ensure through adequate guarantees with regard to the protection of your personal rights (which can arise from contractual clauses, for example) that adequate protection is guaranteed in the sense of the statutory data protection regulations.

Otherwise, information that we collect and use in connection with your use of this website will only be transmitted to third parties if we are obliged to do so by law or by a court decision. We reserve the right to pass on to service providers who are bound by instructions.

Other uses of personal data

Any further use of your personal data will generally only take place  aslegal provision allows this or you have consented to the use of data.
